Hi Visitor, My name is Durga Madhaba Padhy.
I am currently leading Digital product development and Industry 4.0 initiatives at Aragen Life Sciences — simplifying user experience, accelerating innovation, and driving business KPIs.
With product experience spanning Life Sciences, Fintech, and Manufacturing 4.0, I believe that great product management isn't about having all the answers — it's about asking the right questions and creating mindmaps that help teams move from confusion to conviction.

My Philosophy - Turning Ambiguity into Structure
My approach is rooted in clarity, measurable rhythm, and system design. I believe the best products aren't just built — they're orchestrated through intentional decisions that balance user needs, technical constraints, and business value.

City & Traffic Management

Problem statement
Congestion drains city GDP at metro scale. Delhi alone faces double-digit billion-dollar losses estimated at USD 12.0B by 2025 and USD 14.7B by 2030. USD 12.0B by 2025 and USD 14.7B by 2030.
At city scale, even a 5–10% reduction in delay on top corridors moves crores in payroll time, logistics SLAs, fuel burn, and emissions—without a single new flyover.
Pain Points
1. Fragmented Systems & Multiple Portals
Operators constantly juggle between multiple government apps, vendor dashboards, and monitoring tools to stitch together a traffic picture. This happens daily and slows down every decision, making it the single biggest inefficiency.
2. Difficulty Correlating & Visualizing Data
Congestion, camera feeds, bus delays, and signal timings are spread across different systems. Even when available, visualization is poor (no FOV for cameras, no arrows for signals). This forces manual correlation and guesswork for critical junctions.
3. Overwhelming Cognitive Load
With too many metrics, alerts, and screens to track at once, operators are stretched thin. Lack of intuitive drill-down/zoom features means small but frequent tasks turn mentally exhausting, leading to errors and slower response.
4. Inefficient Alerting System
Current alerts lack prioritization. Routine notifications bury critical events like ambulance clearances or accidents. This directly impacts the ability to respond quickly when it matters most.
5. No Unified Dashboard for Public Transport
Bus congestion and corridor-level data are scattered across transport apps. Given the daily reliance on buses for city movement, this lack of visibility creates recurring traffic mismanagement.
6. Poor Emergency Corridor Management
Ambulances, fire trucks, and VIP movements require ad-hoc manual coordination. While less frequent than daily congestion, the impact of delayed clearance is extremely high during such events.
7. Lack of Historical Data & Pattern Insights
Operators lack the ability to study recurring congestion hotspots, incident-prone junctions, or signal inefficiencies. Without history, they stay in reactive mode rather than proactively fixing structural issues.
8. Limited External Intelligence Integration
Global sources like Google Maps/Waze are not incorporated into official dashboards. While not needed minute-to-minute, integrating them would provide richer context and predictive insights.
User Persona
Solution is mainly targeted at
1. Traffic Control Room Operator
2. Control Room Shift Supervisor
3. Traffic Management Center (TMC) Manager
Solution
1. One Unified, Integrated Dashboard
Operators need a single platform to access cameras, signals, congestion, buses, and external feeds without juggling multiple apps. This can be tackled by integrating all data sources into a central map with selectable, overlapping layers.
2. Actionable, Prioritized Insights
Operators don’t just need raw data but smart, prioritized alerts (e.g., ambulances, accidents) and AI-driven suggestions (e.g., adjust signal timing). Tackled by intelligent alert systems and decision-support algorithms that surface the most critical actions first.
3. Contextual & Historical Visualization
Operators need intuitive zoom-in/zoom-out visuals (camera FOVs, signal arrows, congestion heatmaps) plus access to historical trends for planning. Tackled through map-based visualization, corridor overlays, and analytics dashboards that shift between real-time and historical views.
Feature Set
1. Single Operational Picture (SOP) proven
Control-room operators can see corridor Reliability/Throughput/Disruptions on one screen and verify cause within ≤90s using map + camera + signal context.
2. Action Readiness (no automation yet)
Operators can assign owner + SLA to any alert/incident and produce an AM/PM SITREP without leaving the app. SLA breach is visible in-UI.
3. Material Observability
Live layers meet the minimum freshness & performance bars: congestion ≤60s, signals ≤10s, incidents ≤60s, map ≥50 FPS at ops zoom.
4. Pilot-grade Safety & Compliance
No PII exposure (no raw ANPR); audit log for all operator actions; immutable export.
